"Love all, trust a few, do wrong to none." Celebrating Valentine's Day and New Jersey @arakesprogressdc with the "Pine Barrens" with Death Door's gin, cranberry-rosemary shrub, and sparkling wine.
"While they talked they remembered the years of their youth, and each thought of the other as he had been at another time." Celebrating @morrisbardc one-year birthday by sipping the "Orange Paradise" with gin, orange, egg white, lemon, and curacao. Thanks @dylanzehr87!
"The score never interested me, only the game." Celebrating the big game with dueling beers - New England's @gansettbeer vs. LA's @goldenroadbrew - and classic cocktails - "Boston Cooler" vs. "Brown Derby" - and, to top it all off, the "Pigskin Punch" with whiskey, lemon, grenadine, oj, club soda, and sugar. I love you football.
"Ambition leads me not only farther than any other man has been before me, but as far as I think it possible for man to go." Had a fun time at the new @hellococonutclub drinking the "Yas Queen's Park Swizzle" with mango rum, coconut water syrup, lime, mint, and allspice dram.
"We become aware of the void as we fill it." A cocktail with vodka, lychee, egg white, rose, and sauternes.
"The world breaks every one and afterward many are strong at the broken places." Pondering pasta and a "Venetian Spritzer" with aperol, prosecco, and yuzu @sfoglinavanness
"History is a gallery of pictures in which there are few originals and many copies." I was blown away by the food and service @reverie_restaurant, washed down with the "Ship of Fools" with bourbon, strawberry, and black magic.
"Beauty and terror, just keep going, no feeling is final." First brunch of 2019 in the books, accompanied by the "Ternura" with white rum, lime, coconut, cinnamon, and rosemary.
"I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year." Making up some "Christmas in Horse Country" for our annual Christmas crawl with orange-infused gin, Pimms No.1, lemon juice, lemon-lavender syrup, and nutmeg syrup.
"My habits are formed to those of my own country. I am past the time of changing them and am therefore less happy anywhere else than there." Doing my best impression of a country gentleman @salamanderresort @harrimansgrill with "The Rosemary" with @hendricksgin, @stgermaindrinks, lime, simple, and rosemary.
